Sedation dentistry can put your worst fears to rest

Oral Conscious Sedation offers big hope for the millions of people who put off their dental treatment because of fear and anxiety, hyperactive gag reflex or another debilitating condition. The Oral Conscious Sedation pill, a more effective cousin of Valium, allows deep relaxation and amnesia meaning there are little to no unpleasant memories of your treatment.   Your newly found relaxed state allows us to complete the necessary treatment quicker resulting in fewer total visits required.  Best of all, for reasonably healthy adults, it is safe.  It is not an intravenous deep sedation but instead patients are conscious and very comfortably sedated.

Who is a good candidate for sedation dentistry?

Good candidates for sedation dentistry are people who are especially fearful or anxious about visiting the dentist or who need extensive dental care that may require multiple visits over long periods of time. Rather than inconvenience you for a prolonged period, we offer sedation dentistry. Conscious sedation can help you if you:

  • Are a little afraid or totally terrified
  • Gag easily so you avoid dental visits entirely
  • Are uncomfortable holding your mouth open
  • Are nervous about the sounds & smells of a dental office
  • Are too busy for multiple dental appointments
  • Have made a habit of avoiding dental care

We’ll be happy to discuss your options and work out the right treatment plan for you. Today, there is no reason for anyone to fear going to the dentist or avoid needed dental care due to anxiety.

Both Dr Barry Parish and Dr Brandy Hutchens hold board sedation permits.  If you have been putting off your treatment, and afraid to tell us that it is fear itself causing it, please talk to us now.  If you know a friend or loved one suffering, we can probably help.

For patients like me, conscious sedation is a MIRACLE! It allows me to have dental care without the terror I had experienced before. I am so glad that I found Dr. Parish and his staff.
